VW The Beetle Cabriolet is the first debut of Omoshiro rent a car.
The Beetle was discontinued in summer 2019. Originally, cabriolet is very rare in production, so it is now rare in the used car market around the world.

The soft top (hood) is opened and closed electrically, so no manual lock operation is required. Opening and closing time is smooth with 9.5 seconds when opening and 11 seconds when closing, and it can be operated even while driving if the speed is less than 50 km / h.
The safety equipment is advanced, and the airbag also supports side collisions. The side airbag is a type that expands while rising to the upper side, and has a head protection function. A rollover protection system is also provided, and when the body leans over a certain angle, two rollover bars pop out from the rear of the rear seat to ensure occupant safety.
The overall length is 4270 mm and the overall width is 1815 mm, the same size as the base The Beetle.
The engine is an inline 4-cylinder 1.2L engine equipped with a turbo mounted TSI. The maximum output is 105ps (5000 rpm), the maximum torque is 17.8kg-m (1500-4100 rpm), and the JC08 mode fuel consumption is 17.6km/L.
The transmission is a 7-speed twin-clutch DSG. When acceleration is desired, the high rpm range can be effectively used, and it has sufficient power performance.
